Board of Directors

Masataka is an experienced entrepreneur with a career spanning technology, design, and branding success. In addition to serving as CEO of noco-noco, Masataka sits on the Board of Directors for 3DOM Alliance, overseeing the global expansion and R&D growth strategies for both companies. Prior to this, he was the Creative Director and Representative Director of a Japanese fashion brand where he successfully led its entry into international markets. Masataka graduated from the American Intercontinental University in London.

Yuta started his career as a representative office head of a Japanese trading company in Thailand before going on to join the Boards of several top tier multinational automotive parts manufacturers, a Thai-originated conglomerate, and his own startup ventures. Prior to joining noco-noco, he was responsible for business development in the automotive industry, growing strategic partnerships for automotive OEM and its key tier 1 suppliers. Yuta holds a degree in Environmental and Information Studies from Keio University in Japan.

Heizo is Professor Emeritus at Keio University in Japan. He was formerly the Minister for Economic and Fiscal Policy between 2001 and 2006. In his capacity as an economist and as part of his social activities, he also serves on several advisory boards and committees including as Member of the Policy Council under Kishida Administration, Director of Academy Hills, and Outside Director of SBI Holdings Inc. He was named as a member of the Board of Trustees of the World Economic Forum in 2007. Heizo’s research interest is in economic policy.

Jean-François is currently serving as the Asia Pacific regional director of Audere International since April 2022, the joint representative director and co-chief executive officer of Les Rois Mages Japan Co., Ltd. since November 2021, an independent director of DKK Denki Kogyo Co., Ltd. since June 2021, an independent auditor of Amuseum Parks Co., Ltd. since April 2020, a trustee of Ueno Gakuen Educational Foundation and a representative director of ABC Properties Co., Ltd. since March 2017. He has extensive management and advisory experience in multinational corporations, including an advisor to the chairman for international relations at Kyoto Prefectural Union of Agricultural Cooperatives and an advisor to the CEO (Japan/Korea) at Buhler Group. Jean-François started his career in capital markets, equity, and derivatives trading in September 1992. He received his master of science in financial mathematics from Ecole Polytechnique in Paris and completed the Allianz SE executive leadership program at IMD Business School in Shanghai.

Timothy has an illustrious career in risk management, foreign exchange, money market, gold, and commodities management in various top investment banks and organizations including JP Morgan and the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation. From November 2008 to October 2021, Timothy served as an independent non-executive Director and the Chairman of the audit and risk management committee of the Singapore Exchange listed GuocoLand Limited. He is currently a Director on the board of Dr Andrew Ng Global Missions Fund at the School of the Arts in Singapore and the JurongHealth Fund. Timothy is also an Independent Director with Pilgrim Asia Pte Ltd.  and a Director with  Sparrow Asset Management Pte. Ltd.
